The Talons Clay Target Shooting Team has completed its second week of competition. For five consecutive weeks, competitors take aim at 25 clay targets in each of the two rounds.

Alexis Seeley is now ranked second in the conference for females and is nearly ranking in the top 100 overall nationally. She scored 21 and 24 for a total of 45.

Jillian Schue maintained a top 10 position for females in the conference, shooting a 21 and 18 for a total of 39.

Teygen Riley-Ochsner shot consistently with scores of 21 and 21, totaling 42, while Braunson Dietzman had rounds of 10 and 16 for a total of 26.

Monica Reif continues to show promise, Coach Tim Rockhold said, and the team is progressing.

“The conditions were less than favorable with sunset times getting earlier in the fall along with a slightly overcast day,” Rockhold said. “We hope to continue to improve throughout the season. The team is working hard and are very coachable, which makes for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.”

The team maintained sixth place in the conference standings. Watch for week 3 results next week.
