The Talons Women's Basketball Team will take to the court for the first time in November.

Women's Basketball Team Needs Players

Are you currently enrolled Blackhawk student with at least 12 credits? Our Talons Women's Basketball Team is looking for additional players for this upcoming season. Practice begins in October with games starting in November. There will also be open gym from 4-6 p.m. Sundays through the end of September in the gymnasium of the new Public Safety Center on the Beloit-Janesville Campus.

Meet Coach Kirsten Eckerman

Coaching Philosophy:

Academics first, with a team-set GPA that may exceed NJCAA minimums.
Focuses on character building, emphasizing how teamwork on the court prepares student-athletes for success in their future careers.

Background:

Attended Danville Local High School in Ohio, where she participated in basketball, volleyball, softball, and track and field.
Earned a degree in psychology from the College of Wooster, a nursing degree at Blackhawk and a master’s in Nursing from Grand Canyon University.
Played basketball and softball at the college level.
