Season Begins for Clay Target Shooting Team

The Talons Clay Target Shooting Team started their season the week of Sept. 21,  with each competitor taking aim at 25 clay targets in each of the two rounds.

Alexis Seeley tied for fourth place overall and first in the conference by scoring a perfect 25 followed by a 23. Seeley is also ranked 10th nationally for females and is tied for 43rd overall.

Jillian Schue finished 10th in the conference for females, scoring a 39, which is the second highest score for the team for week 1.

Teygen Riley-Ochsner shot consistently with scores of 18 and 19.

Coach Tim Rockhold noted the team’s new member, Monica Reif, is a first-time shooter who is showing great promise.

The team is currently sixth in the conference standings.
