Men’s Basketball

The Talons, coached by Nile Finney, hosted Carl Sandburg College at home on Feb. 6. They lost 67-95. Kai Bickham and Malik Bates each racked up 12 points, Aidan Maves had 11 and Kwame Hawkins added 11.

The next matchup is Monday, Feb. 9, when they travel to Bryant & Stratton College in Wauwatosa to take on the Bobcats. They play Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois, on Thursday, Feb. 12. Then on Saturday, Feb. 14, they host Madison College in the Public Safety Center at 3 p.m.

Women’s Basketball

On Feb. 7, the women’s basketball team traveled to Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois. They lost 66-74. Jazzanay Seymore led the Talons scoring with 20 points. Arrianna Eubanks added 14 points. Gracie Schmidt had 13.

Coach Aaron Dobbs said, “The ladies always come out ready to compete, giving themselves a chance to win every game. We had the game within five points late in the fourth quarter, but Black Hawk made their free throws down the stretch. We plan to finish the season strong with three straight home games.”

The next competition will take place at home on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. when they take on Madison College.
